Investment and Modernization at Haut-Mauco’s Factory
The MAS Seeds factory in Haut-Mauco, located at the heart of the MAÏSADOUR Group complex, has been a cornerstone of our operations for over 50 years. As our primary industrial site, it produces 50% of our maize, sunflower, and winter oil seed rape volumes.
An Ambitious Modernization Program
Last year, our Haut-Mauco factory underwent a significant modernization to enhance its performance and sustainability. This project was partially financed by the Aquitaine region as part of the ‘Factories of the Future’ program.
“We have developed an ambitious action plan, created in collaboration with all teams, aimed at improving our performance at all levels: industrial, energy, and safety for our operators.”
— Anne-Marie Taché, Director of Production and Industrial Operations

Firstly, a new technology has been introduced on the calibration line. It increases the versatility of the line, particularly in terms of species diversity, as well as the efficiency and smoothness of our operations. This new equipment, equipped with 3D cameras, enables optical sorting based on precise quality criteria, detecting, and directly removing non-compliant seeds. The seed processing and packaging line has been completely modernized. This upgrade has enabled the automatization of preparation and precise dosing of treatments, while introducing innovative bio-based solutions. A more efficient coating machine has been installed, enhancing the quality of seed treatment.
In addition, the bagging line has been replaced with more automated equipment featuring advanced technologies. These improvements ensure a continuous, efficient, and secure product flow throughout the packaging chain. These innovations also enhance data reliability and traceability throughout the process.

A Major Technological Breakthrough for the Factory
In autumn 2023, the factory also introduced a supervision tool for maize drying. This technology optimizes energy consumption by enabling precise measurement and regulation, further aligning with our sustainability goals.
“Through all these investments, MAS Seeds has significantly improved the reliability of its industrial production, both in quantity and quality, optimized its energy consumption, and enhanced the comfort and safety of its operators.”
— Bertrand Despagnet, Industrial Manager
