Eco-designed

Purpose of this website

This website aims to centralize all the information concerning the MAS Seeds Global. It showcases the company, its activities and its projects, and it features a recruitment job board.

The target users of the service are professionals wanting to learn more about the MAS Seeds, journalists and media wanting to get information about MAS Seeds featured projects and candidates for positions opened by the company. The identified business needs and expectations of target users is to access information in the most accessible and efficient way possible.

The Mas Seeds group has embarked on an initiative to improve its digital services as part of its commitment to a more responsible digital environment.

In this context, this website has been designed and developed with eco-design in mind.

The business needs associated with the service’s target users are as follows:

  1. Farmers: easily find the seeds best suited to their context, and have a contact person associated with them to initiate a commercial relationship or request information directly.
  2. Distributor: quickly find technical information on products to update your catalog.
  3. Sales representative (internal profile): have access to an up-to-date Mas Seeds catalog database for easy and efficient reference.
  4. Mas Seeds job applicants: to be able to view and apply for Mas Seeds job offers in the most efficient way possible, while having access to elements that promote the fact of working within the Group (reassurance).
  5. Journalists: fast, efficient access to the press book and to the Group’s corporate and news information.

The site is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) identified by the United Nations, and in particular responds to the goal of “Access to decent jobs” via the job offers proposed by Mas Seeds around the world. Mas Seeds also contributes to the goal of “Building a resilient infrastructure, promoting sustainable industrialization that benefits all and encouraging innovation” through its main missions.

Strategy implemented and objectives for reducing or limiting environmental impacts

The main challenge is to ensure that this website operates as efficiently as possible and under various connectivity conditions, while minimizing its carbon footprint.

  • Work on UX (user experience) by offering access to content in the most efficient way: simple navigation, direct access to the information
  • Use of a design system for interface components: they are accessible and their footprint is minimal
  • The most intuitive navigation possible to reduce the time spent finding information
  • Maximum number of server requests on-call per screen: 60
  • Weight of maximum resources constrained per screen: 4MB
  • All content is available at least on mobile and desktop, but the site adapts to all screen sizes
  • Maximum compression of images and videos
  • Manual deletion of obsolete content: events and job offers for example
