ISO 50001: A new milestone for energy performance at MAS Seeds
The Haut-Mauco industrial industrial site (France) has achieved ISO 50001 certification following an audit carried out by AFNOR Certification. This recognition rewards several years of collective work to better monitor, manage and reduce our energy consumption.
A Long-Term Transformation Project
This certification is part of the Maïsadour Group’s Ambition 2030 roadmap and MAS Seeds’ commitment to improving energy performance and reducing carbon emissions.
The journey began with a carbon assessment in 2021, followed by the progressive installation of monitoring systems across the site from 2023 onwards to better measure energy consumption.
The objective was straightforward: obtain reliable data, identify improvement opportunities and implement concrete actions to reduce energy use.

The certification reflects the commitment of the teams across the Haut-Mauco site and the progress made through:
- stronger energy monitoring;
- concrete improvement actions;
- daily involvement from teams across the site.
The project was led by Lorem Gatti, Energy Performance and Decarbonization Manager, together with many contributors from the Haut-Mauco site.
Looking Ahead
More than a certification, ISO 50001 provides a long-term framework for continuous improvement.
Several projects are already being explored or implemented, including advanced energy monitoring, biomass solutions, solar energy, and other decarbonization initiatives.
